I know the pic is wrong on the site, I have not updated it lately as I have been sorting ships out to send to RDK, also the data for the Alfred N is incorrect on the site, I shall upload the replacements later today.

I may not put many more up on there as if they are going to be added to the main game there is not much point, but I will put the Berge Vik up for those who cant wait for a LARGE bulk carrier Smile

In respect to the Berge Viking, I remember being berthed ahead of her in the early 90's. I was on a 125,000mt vessel and looking back at her we only barely reached beyond half her beam!! Felt we were more like a lifeboat Laughing

If I remember her hatch lids only went one way and she had her own bulldozers in their own storage down the holds!

Hello, I didnt not know about the hatches on the Berge Vik, I could not find a good photo looking down on her being loaded/unloaded so I just made my best guess, the hatches look like they went both sides like on some other Berge ore/oil carriers.

I do need to redraw several ships still as I am not happy with them, like the top view for Alfred N and the side views for Ti Asia.

Just to let you know I have added all the ships to zip files (and one with all the ships in).

I hope this makes it easier for people to download them.

Also in the zip files are updated xml files, I keep tweaking them as I find more data on the real ships.

Sorry got the ships wrong it was the Berge Stahl I was berthed ahead of..

Details
The MS Berge Stahl is the largest bulk cargo ship in the world. It is registered in Stavanger, Norway.

An iron ore carrier, the Berge Stahl weighs in at a massive 364,768 dead-weight-tons (metric), she was built in 1986 by Hyundai Heavy Industries. The Berge Stahl is 343m long, has a beam, or width, of 65m, and a draft, or depth in the water, of 23m. The Hyundai B&W 7L90MCE diesel engine is 9m high, drives a single 9m screw, and puts out 27,610 horsepower. She is owned by the Norwegian shipping company Bergesen d.y. ASA, has a top speed of 13.5 knots, and has a 9m high rudder. Because of her massive size, the Berge Stahl can only tie up at two ports in the world, hauling ore from the Terminal Marítimo de Ponta da Madeira in Brazil to the Europoort near Rotterdam in the Netherlands. The Berge Stahl makes this trip about ten times each year, or a round-trip about every five weeks.

The name Berge Stahl means "Steel Mountain".

A big thankyou for the zipped files of all your ships.
Will put into my system tonight. Laughing

Just to let you know I have gone way over my bandwidth for my web site, so it will be offline for a few days until I upgrade it.

stk, you might want to check out this topic http://www.rdkleinforum.de/viewtopic.php?t=2676&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 to keep an eye on updates.

I looked into rapid share to host my zips but I dont really like the way it operates. I may be able to host zip files again on my biz server as it has a lot more bandwidth.
