The freight table is probably the most regarded and important window in this game, and before RDK releases V. 1.0 of pocxxl I want to place some of my ideas to change it to the better:

1 - Do we need cents?
We are dealing with thousands and millions of USD to select the most profitable freight for our ships. IMO the display of decimal point and cents are fogging the readability of the tables (and other windows - fuel prices, tug fees). Without cents to display columns would shrink. Only Informations like "price per unit" should remain as-is as basis for comparison.

2 - Character spacing and decimal points
To improve the general overview of the table a font with equal spacing should be used (like an old typewriter machine). Dots or blanks should separate thousand and million values for tonnage and dollars equally.
And pls put the column "price per unit" right-aligned to enhance readability.

3 - Skip freights with delivery dates beyond reality
It's undermining the sincerity of the game if freights are displayed which can only be delivered by plane but never by ship. (e.g. Papetee to Glasgow in 7 days). The fastest ship available in the game should be consulted to set the limits for the delivery date.

*********

yes,
for 1 we can do this, but rounding is always a littl bit dangerours, for this table it sok,

for 2.,I can add a fature for this but need to be localized (US is 1,111,111.22
german 3.333.3333,11 for exampele) or we keep it in one format

for 3. this costs too much time to calculate, as the current router needs to be activated for eacht distance to check out and check all ships to calculate.
with the new router upcomign (using fixed routes) this is easier to implement.
Also you can always use a freight and pay some fine and still make money, so when shall we clip it ? With risk of storm without with strike, and it depends also on you ship and hometown and many more.

1 - Of course all calculations should be done with two or more decimal places. I just think that they are better not be displayed because they are of no importance.

2 - Keep it simple, one format should do. Go for the style which is used by your biggest group of paying customers.

3 - I see what you mean. I thought it would be more simple to suppress unfeasable entries.
How are freight tables generated? Are they made up in new process everytime they are asked for or do they permanently exist for each port?

*************

3.
alle harbours with all freights persist all the tiem and at eche loop they are updated as freights removed and new come there, changes are transmitted from the master to all slaves if in a network.
this table also is completely saved when saving a game.

Another suggestion under this catagory.

I believe that most everyone sorts available cargo by "price/unit".
Can this column be moved to the left so it is visible everytime without moving the window slider.

Thank You

100 percent affirmative Very Happy

This column could change places e.g. with the "reserved"-column. In addition this column is unnecessarily wide. My suggestion instead of the standard entry "-available-":
Yes or Y in black if available for everyone
Yes or Yin green if available for My company only
No or N in red if not available, reserved by another company

Furthermore, the cargo reserved for my company should be displayed in first place after "Ballast", so that it cannot be overlooked anymore.

Quote:

100 Prozent Zustimmung Very Happy

Now we're talking about reserved freights:
Have you already something planned to extend the reserve function?
So we can add ship names for example, and when a ship enters a port with reserved freights that there will a message about it?

Maybe it can be some red message text below the load button which leads you to the freight tables.

- 2. Klasse (+++)
- 1. + 2. Klasse (++++)
- 1. Klasse (+++++)
