How about adding a "Sea Routes" menu for Liners and Ferries

You can choose a Starting harbor and create a circle route by adding other harbors. At the end of course, the ship returns to the Starting Harbor.

You could choose the price too.

The ship will operate the route/run (call it as you wish) automatically.
It will stop only if the player cancels the route.

If you want it more complex: You could buy or rent the routes or buy/rent a licence from every harbor or something like that.

Nice idea to create a steady income (or loss if you choose a bad run) which works in the background.

Something similar has been discussed here in the forum already for passenger liners and ferries (between two ports) and I believe RDK has it already on the "To do list".
