Hi there.

I played this game YEARS ago on my old Amiga and I loved it then as I love it now on the iPhone.

What I hate now and also did then is that some of the dialogs cant be set to never be shown again.

Today lots of applications adds a checkbox to certain warning dialogs which the user can check and then they will never see that warning again.

I'd really like to see this kind of feature in this game. So when Im told it costs 70000 to cross the Suess chanel I can Check the 'Never show this dialog again' and I will never have to click it again. The fee will this be withdrawn from my account but it will never show again.

This may be a game changing feature, but I'd really like to see it in the game anyway.

What do ya say?

Yes, indeed its still the classic code.
I will think on a easy solution, as checkboxes wernt used in our old engine, but maybe in the general option box - on the other side if all message are gone, not much is left in the game -- at least some kind of protocol needs to be left to see the expenses etc. or a method to get it back (I see some mails of people check ths by accident and want to get it back )
--

you can click on any telegram (just in the blank field) to just stop it and close it at the moment.

Yes. I always quick tap on the screen when these message come hoping to hit the OK button at the same time.

The thing is if you have just 5 ships and they all pass through say the suess channel then thats 10 message saying the it will cost 70.000 dollars to go through on a round trip. I have 20 ships and they all pass through the suess channel!

I understand that checkboxes will be extra implemention but it doesn't have to be a checkbox per say. Could also just be a button. And for those unlucky souls that click the 'hide this dialog' button there could be a 'Reset all warning messages' somewhere.

I understand if this is too code changing to implement. Its just a feature that I always wanted and now I had a chance to bring it to the developers of this awesome classic game Smile

probably I can put such options into the option screen where currently the language select is located, there we have a new interface which can communicate. A menue"game settings" for example can do it and then the checkbox can be unchecked. Some other options might go there in the future --
at the moment we have:

1. hide kanal messages
2. hide fee messages (bank account - etc.)
3. 2sim on/off to override the start settings
4. rename ships --- thats more difficult but canbe
5. rename owner (for highscore)
6. automatic refuel on xxx as price or any price
7. settings for AI player (planed not yet implemented) -- e.g. wifi ...

Nice. Looking forward to the update.

If you need someone beta testing I'll signup for that Smile

If that is possible on the iPhone at all.
