Hello Frank,

One thing - the onlineupdater for sim 3d 1 has nothing to do
with the updater for poc xxl. If you guess, that you don't have the latest version of poc xxl you should use the integrated updater of xxl!!

To your second point:
if you get it right with the useraddons you can do the following:
pick the freights not by total revenue but by revenue per ton.
Then you load cargos with high revenue per ton (attention - for many of them you have only few time! ) and load many of them, so that you get a kind of timetable where to deliver he cargo at which time and of course with ports on a specific route.
that way is far more effective than loading cargos for 5 mio. and sail half around the world.....

Best Regards,
Christian

Thanks Christian, that does make sense. Incidentally do you know whether there's a map of the world listing where are the best places to pick up certain cargo such as gas or passengers

I think you can generate a map dynamicly at big bears website.
But I've to admit, that I dont use such a map...

I can give you some hints. (based on the addon ports...)

You get good tanker cargo in the indonesian region
as well as in houston or port of rotterdam.

in South america i can recommend you Lima Callao, and punto fijo.
In Africa you can find the right carcos at Bonny at least...

I think you'll find out the places as you play the game and then won't forget the right ports.

For passengers I've no idea, as I always found the passenger business in poc not really exciting (very short time periods to deliver the cargo and too less revenue in my opinion).
Maybe other players have better experience with it....

Hi Christian

I do not have these ports in - Lima Callao, and punto fijo.

And Bonny. This is what I believe has happened to my game. In April 07 I was involved in a horrific industrial accident where I nearly lost my left leg. I had 4 operations. I stopped playing Port Of Call due to being in hospital. I did try to update but my update ended in 5.7.09 built 1.0.9
Than last month in Oct 10 I was involved in a motorcycle accident where once again my left leg required 2 more operations. Excluding the bones in my toes I have more steel than bones in my left leg and left hip.

Due to lack of updates, lack of add-ons and lack of ports I believe that I am way behind in the facilities that this game has to offer. The only thing that I believe I can improve my game is to buy POC on an updated current disc
