ok i have tryed everything you came up with but no luck there.

i played with sim3d2 ( r1,20) in master mode i start 3D2 game from his pic on my desktop screen ( not in xxl game )
i use big and the middle cargo ship and the cruise liner on sydney and marsaille and no luck there i also use the cruise liner on traffic training & training harbour sim3D2 also no luck.

this where 8 try's but none worked for me.

everytime i dock i did it the same way i lay next to the marking and use both my trusters to go side ways to get me into position until the screen say that i was in port then i stopt, then for at least 2 or 3 min. i make sure that the speed meter and my heading meter did not change and that ''your in port stop your engine'' was still on the screen.

so RDK could you say that i do something wronge because there are members who does not have this problem.

is it possible that we can ajust the sound level on sim3D2 like in the ''m'' screen because now we can do nothing about it and i don't have to hear the engine loud true the hole game maybe you could do the samething as on sim3D1 where you can ajust the sound from the sea and the ship?

when i press the ''p''button for pause i saw that the screen did stop but the timer and the engine sound where still working

hi rdklein,

you should look if this problem depends on the steering by keyboard.
i just played poc sim3d2 with the keyboard and exactly this problem
appeared. When i played with my game pad it always used to work.

not yet, but next is the 3dsim so I will have time to check this out. (I assume the berth area which is calculated automatic is to small for experts when using the hovercraft..., but I have to check and test,.

Hi.

I dont have a game pad and use only keyboard for the operation. I can't get the ship to stop engine. I've tried 'End' and 'Home' buttons, as well as giving it a good wait, but still simulation refuses to end. What can I do?

Same here for me with last rev of 3dsimII. Often, i got the message and can't berth, whatever i do and have to suffer extra tugs charges. Sometime it works... Can't recall exactly with wich ships/wich harbours but it happens pretty often and turns the use of 3dsimII into something pretty random and hazardous. I'm not using a gamepad but my keyboard and no auto-zero Sad

very strange, stopping the engines only means setting the speed to 0. (not switching off the main engine), then waiting a little bit, but you must be still in the berth place (usually you tend to drift further on, then you have to go revererse).

Why not add a Finish with Engines to the telegraph much like a real vessel?
