HOW tO REGISTER CORRECTLY - wie man sich richtig registriert

Due to massive spam attacks all new users must write an email to me to enable the account and write a short story on how to get here. use subject="forumuser" and mention the username. There is no automatic email to me !!

Bitte alle neuen User eine email direkt an mich senden mit dem Betreff="Forumuser" und einer kurzen Erläuterung sowie den usernamen den ich freischalten soll. Ich bekomme keine email bei Neuregistrierung.

Please report all spam entries via PM, in the past days a boost of spams appeared I was not able to delete them all ** still work on this part today.

All you need is
1) a frequently active moderator or admin
2) activation of the user group "newly registered users"
2a) Newly registered users shall be in this group (and only this group) as standard, posts would have to be approved by a mod or admin.
2b) If one post was aproved, user is auto-moved into the standard user group with all rights.

This may need some reading through phpBB docs/FAQ, maybe even a forum test setup via Xampp to get this working properly.

BTW - is the forum software up-to-date ?

its not possible to distinguish between spam robots (and foreign manual operated spamers - which also cannot read well textes like this or dont have time for this) and poc users by this process. The only thing which helps is reading this article and just write an email --- I tried this all and still got spams, which are dangerous by law for me for example links are set without my notice. .. SO I go to the safe side, and everybody should be able to send me an email after registration, maybe with a short story (which is also done by other forums) on how he become a poc user.

Hi,

Soweit ja alles klar, aber anscheinend hat es da bei mir (Upgrade) von Gold auf Platin hier im Forum ein Problem gegeben. Was ging da schief?

Denn unter Gold hatte ich 2 oder 3 Sterne (Beitragsanzahl), und jetzt bin ich Unlizensiert (GRÜBEL).

Muß das auch vom Admin geändert werden oder wie oder ... ????
