|
|
Captain Brackwasser
PS: Antwort gerne in Englisch |

Cement Courier is an abomination ....
Eine Fehlgeburt sozusagen.....
First it looks like a small coaster in rather bad shape!
Secondly the measurements given in the xml file do not match the tdw,
which is given as 25 000 tons, that thing would sink it real life
with half that tonnage...
I complained about that before, never heard anything
A cement freighter is essentially a dry goods tanker and should look like one and it certainly wouldnt "schlepp" containers about
As far as the other ships and the codes I am not quite sure
what they are good for, Since I like the Norilsk,
I simply took the boxes off and run her as a freighter.
Incidently in the game she can not go to her homeport in the white sea.... _________________ Frohe Reise, Bearsie. |

I think the special ships is something that needs to be developed, could bring an intresting part to the game. _________________ Cheers

Hi Bearsie !!
If I would run the Cement Courier as a normal frighter, which tdw should it have ??
I think I should give this poor ship a real sense in the game !!

based on werft info for similar sized vessels (Even the length to width to draft ratio seems a bit odd)
somewhere around 4000 to 6000 tons

Those are a bit newer, then there is the tantallon castle to look at
and the Gada, the gada is probably the closest to the Cement Courier
as far as origianl game ships are concerned
I'd prolly change her to this :

actully it is easy to check if its somewhat realistic since no ship can weigh more than the water it is in ...
96.5x17x7=11483 so thats roughly total displacement in tons
or cubic meters..
Minus the "pointy ends" and the steel (usually a quarter to a third)
and you would be hard pusched to get half of that in tdw _________________ Frohe Reise, Bearsie. |

I quite agree we sure can make the ships, if we can talk RDK into activating some of those special codes...
be interesting to plan trips when you can only haul certain items. _________________ Frohe Reise, Bearsie. |

Just one worry, when RDK implements the addon for user created ports, cargo and ships will the origonal game ships and ports still be changable? I hope so as I have altered a few of them to make some ships more usable. _________________ Cheers
