hello rdk,

i have a joystick with cooliehat.
but so far it has no function.
it would be cool if you could make this work,
as it would be possibile to steer the thrusters this way.

Hi CT,

Saitek adds a software called Smart Technology Programming Software to allocate any key or combination of keys of the keyboard to any key of the joystick. I used it for the MS Train Simulator, very simple and good working.

it should be possible to assign the thrusters in the gamepad menue (admin) if the input parts are analog like slider etc.

i could, but i haven't enough axes.
so i thought it could be possibile to use the coolihat which doesn't appear in the gamepad menu.

__________

moreover i still have problems with steering by keyboard in expert and master mode. i could have been berthed in perfectly and though he just says 'your'e in berth. stop engine' please check this rdklein.
it's really not amusing having needed 30 minutes to berth and then
he doesnt congratulates...

CT

maybe the coolihat is a button system (also other joysticks have buttons), the so called directional buttons,
therefore I have to add a menue function, but because these are buttons they onyl can turn on or off, and have no values inbetween ?!

The coolihat is a system of 8 circular mounted switches (in intervals of 45 degrees).

yes then I know which one, I will provide a menue for them.
Usually they are used for camera for example, but anyway we will have a free assignment (also all buttons will come).
