port exit loop

i have a problem that when i select to leave a port and 'stear by hand', the 3d sim starts ok and all is well. when , however i have sucssesfully compleated the task, the pocxxl takes me back to the "your ship is ready to leave the harbour" screen again. if i try to click 'stear by hand' again nothing happens. if i select 'use a tug' i can get to the speed selection screen you should get after leaving the port. if i then try to continue the program reverts back to telling me my ship is ready to leave.

is this an isolated fault or has anyone else experianced this? i have tried using the repair option with the installer and reinstalled the programe again when that failed. i am running vista, have the latest poc updates availible and have not had a problem before after playing it for the last 3 months or so.
