yes - but the old link is probably no longer working.
I will upload another version and send you a pm when done.

Hi RedEvil,
Quote: | Have you asked RDK of he will host you file? |
No - but initially he came up with an offer for free space on the poc-server. Nothing happened since and I will not ask him because I (we) all know that downloads generate costs.
Quote: | Maybe you can split you file in 3 separated files for goods, towns and ships. |
Goods and ships are the minor problem. Meanwhile the download is nearly 100 MB and the harbour-folder is 90 percent of it with 339 user-ports.
Ripping the user-addon-folder apart is not my aim. Many of our poc-friends are lucky that they don't have to deal with putting all data in the right place. That's why I am offering the complete folder to replace their existing one.
BTW - I have sufficient webspace at gmx, but it remains idle because I am too stupid to set it up for file downloads, I have not the slightest cue how to start (I don't want to create a homepage). Any suggestions - I am willing to follow ...
Regards Sparky |

upload on rapidshare?
if you don't have account, you can still upload as free user and your file will stay there for 30 days
if you have an account on rapidshare, then it stays indefinitely
or, if you want, upload it somewhere and i'll re-upload it on my account, that way i can give you the permanent link to post in this topic |

Hi marsaxlokk,
RapidShare works reliable but has some restrictive conditions for free users. I've never read about a limit of 30 days. I remember something like "deletion of file after a certain idle time". And of course it is quite cumbersome to suck the file when you are not used to such procedure.
Thanks for your offer. I will come back when reasonable . At the moment my files change very often and I think it is more convenient to use RapidShare and not to stress a third party.
Thanks and regards

Hey Sparky,
I'd also be very intetrested in the link - actually so interested I finally registered to the forum after reading for some time
I didn't find a thread just to say "hello" as a new user - anyway, I guess I'm the typical case of an Amiga PoC player who re-discovered the game years later.
I'd be happy to receive a PM
Best regards,
Captain Bathtub |

Hey sparky, looks like you are a very popular man
I'd like a link to it as well and I will also investigate putting on my web space for hosting. I just can't remember how much traffic I purchased its been so long |

Hi Bandit,
I've send you a pm with the download link.
And many thanks for your kind offer to host my files. This may be quite a costly proposal as each download counts nearly 100 MB.
Right now I am standing by for the next issue of pocxxl. There are many changes due requiring major modifications to the xml files (e.g. cargo handling, ship's types, harbour access ...). RDK can deliver only for the original poc ports, all other user addons constructors are requested to follow. Piles of work to do ...
... and after this has been done there will be many downloads necessary to comply with the new rules. I will contact you agn when my part of this work is done.
Many thanks again and regards
