Just got POC DELUXE and when I try and play it it's asking me for the Indeo codec. When I check it out on the web you have to pay 15$ for it... this seem a little harsh as I've just paid 15 pounds already for the game it self......

|Is there any way around this...

HELP

cheers
Ian

Hi Ian,

you could try the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack:

Greetings,

A simple google search for intel indeo download does it, the decompress part is free, you dont need the compress part which costs 15 bucks.

you can ignore the request for the moment, as then only the video at the container harbour remains black.

we will use a different codec for the next versions anyway but indeo proved very stable so far.

But I have try to cancel it but once I do the game just black screens and keeps minimizing, it doesn't have an ignore tab..

Is there there anyway of emailing the right data to me to run your game..

Danke schön! again

i have a help from the astragon poc classic edition:

Unter Vista kann es in einigen Fällen zu Problemen mit dem mitgelieferten Indeo Codec geben. Sollte dies der Fall sein gibt es hier ein anderes Codec-Package. Bei der Installation bitte "Indeo 4 + 5" ankreuzen.

maybe this helps.

only check for indeo 4+5

which OS do you have so I can check for.

What codec should i download for windows media player to play .mkv video files? I was wondering if there is a codec for WMP to play .mkv files, cause I hate using VLC when playing .mkv movies, especially if it has subtitles. It crashes alot and does'nt display the subtitles correctly like, the text overlaps making it hard to read.

This forum is related to the Ports Of Call PC game and not intended for all other kinds of (generic) PC questions. It's best to ask this question in another forum.
