Hi,
now we made it to the technofunding platform and try to go into the development for POC 4XL to get new power into the game:

https://www.technofunding.com/index.php#projects&project_id=74

please support us.

I paid 40 Euros for PoC XXL in 2006,
still waiting for the final version.

this seems like a really bad joke to me,
if you want more money for another project instead of finishing already-sold software.

one might call that preposterous...to say the least.

POCxxl is constantly developed (though we have some freeze at the moment), The current version is a release version (derivates were sold by astragon) so not unfinished. Only the update rate is currently very slow.

But we try to raise some money to further develop all projects also pocxxl further on and to raise it to a new platform.

The platinum is a lifetime license, which is seldom available for games in the market, so people only pay one time for all future versions.

For starting in 2006 this means you spend 40euro/7 per years. Some online games cost 40euro a month !!

But this lifetime concept has a major drawback for us as developers, as the market get saturated, no money comes in anymore and the development gets slower, so we cannot afford doing poc4xl (or major enhance pocxxl) without getting some additional money for new projects.

On the other side the number of active users grow and also our support (to recover on lost licenses, and help getting it running on new machines)

Of course current platinum user will benefit in any case. The crowd funding is for people who like to support us and our ideas of violence free game development and we really need funds to continue.

People with a platinum license will be able to play poc4xl on the PC platform, and poc4xl will be available for other platforms (due to the Unity3d engine), but without crowd funding we cannot implement it.

POC4XL is considered as a major step. The current pocxxl version is difficult to enhance, as the spport of the development tools almost ended (using OCX libraies of the older operating systems) and new operating system feasture cannot be used so we need to do a major step.

I sympathize with the frustrations of a purchase that does not live up to its original intent. I am a bit disappointed in the long list of fixes that never seem to be implemented. But, the cost is ridiculously low compared to what we all spend for other entertainment. If you enjoy sports, this is a clear comparison. I have enjoyed long hours relaxing and manuevering without remorse. I am happy to spend a little more with the hope of more games at this level of challenge and "positive reward". I see I am a minority. Sad
RDK, may have suceeded where others have failed.

Hmm...

@RDK
(no pun intended)

Also wo soll es hin gehen, Hr. Klein?

MfG Seewolf

Also danke und frohe Weihnachten!
Loki
