Noticed this today when playing
My company is worth about 1.2 billion dollars....
I have a credit line with about 850 million dollars....
But when playing i got out of cash...the program says get some cash before refuling....so i have no money to put the ship to drydock or refuel.... the next problem is after pressing rightaway on the stop button there are still 5 ships which are in a harbour and have to be refueled or something until i can get into the office and get myself a credit..this cost me money and time......
maybe there should be a automatic credit line to use rightaway without going to the office. Maybe 10 % of the available credit.... thisaway i can use all my money and don't have to look after it all the time and go to the office because of 10 million dollars.... _________________ Die Welt die wir geschaffen haben ist das Resulat einer überholten Denkweise

I totally agree with you, if you say that your financial situation is like this:
Company is worth about 1.2 billion dollars....
Credit line with about 850 million dollars....
I'm sure that in the real world people wouldn't mind giving you a few days credit
I think i have seen this in another game called Ocean Trader and as far as i remember is that when your company had established a credit line you just made an overdraft on your account upto your credit limit
I don't think that RDK would have any problem with implementing it into the game. |

I totally agree too.
And I think it would be realistic if the interests are higher, when you use this automatic credit line. |

as much as i understand you guys, i don't think that this should be implemented in the game.
if you want to run business you have to take care about many different things, one of them is also your current account.
check it from time to time (anyway, it's always visible on the screen)

During periods of crisis (back in early/mid 80s) many companies could not afford to pay back their creditors and there were no cash in their bank accounts, so they were trying to find freights just to cover their expenses and prevent their ships from laying up.
When they were ordering fuel, provisions etc. they were granted credit by the supplier companies and companies paid the creditors when they had cash from freight. _________________ Best Regards,

@ harrison
youre are right....normally i look after it but if 25 jahre viking need to be refuelled takes a lot money... and take every 2 days a credit for 10 million is just boring... if there would be an option in the bank to set your credit line by yourself would be fine with me too. id also pay 15 % interest. i dont use it often its just in the case.... _________________ Die Welt die wir geschaffen haben ist das Resulat einer überholten Denkweise

What about the credit for 30 days of fuel and provisions?
You could get a list of all the credit payment's that are doue.
This billing system is a realistic one because I don't think anybody goes around
with 10 000 000 $ in the back bocket? huge back bocket. |
