Hallo...

I was busy trying to make my own homepage to put in all my harbors I made in one of the threads of this forum, only to see I don't need to anymore,
Furthermore, I spend the last few weeks a lot of time to update these harbors to more realistic situations, but as I can see that has been done as well....
Still, I have a lot of harbors left to be published...
Greetings, |

My Ro/Ro ships and Bearsies coaster will fit perfectly in this scenario. _________________ Visit http://www.pocshipyard.de for free ships and harbours |

oh, yes that right... these ships are great....
it's extremly hard to play this Projekt... max Value is around 20.000 USD per good
And there is not engough old ships on the market In the moment iam cruise with the Carl Borgward and Otto Hahn through the game, because the daily cost are not so high... _________________ Bye

Sure, for these short routes you must modify the game to make profit!
You must rise the freight rates, and maybe reduce the daily costs of the ships. Bearsies ships are cheeper in maintance because of that and the freight rates of his harbours are mostly higher than you need them in an normal normal game, because he plays with small ships. _________________ Visit http://www.pocshipyard.de for free ships and harbours |

|
|
I pay 30 dollars a day, crew size is based on real life.
So a coaster with 9 crew is listed as <expense> 270<
The computer determines the maintenance expense.
Some of the earlier ships, especially if they are on Christians site have lower numbers ,
since I released them before updating them.
To make a true coaster game you have to eliminate all harbors outside Europe (complete 2nd file),
actually I only include the Baltic and Northsea to Lisbon, Norway to Tromsø and Iceland. otherwise the cargo prices are
way out of wack. Then adjust the cargo prices up until the good ships no longer go broke.
the easy way to do this is to raise the <ertrag_pro_tag> in the goods file,
otherwise you have to change every harbor, which is a pain in the butt. _________________ Frohe Reise, Bearsie. |

One way to adjust also is to give Helsinki and Lissabon lower prices
like 60, and harbors in the center higher prices like 100 or 120.
otherwise you will find yourself only going between these 2 ports at the expense of the ports in the center.
The computer is not very good in adjusting for this...
And you need patience, it takes the computer time to adjust to changes in the xml files,
or run only test games, but thats boring. _________________ Frohe Reise, Bearsie. |

There are lots of good "modern" 1960 coasters on the market
and a few good fast freighters too
I would however say that for a good game ships selected should be similar size or the bigger ones make too much money.
Or the little ones go broke... _________________ Frohe Reise, Bearsie. |
