Just curious:

What's the highest payment you have ever recieved for one single freight job?

I never thought it possible, but the other day I actually made just over 10 million on one single job, from Vancouver to Karachi carrying weapons.

It's starting to seem to me like you get a bonus when you do business in your own home port. Anyone got any input on this suspicion?

I have made 9.750.000 for some electronic from San Fransisco to Cape Town.
My other ships go from Vancouver to Karachi, or from Houston to Calcutta.

I think the total income is pretty irrelevant.
Income per ton or even net profit per ton and day seem more relevant.

I think I've made several trips grossing $ >10,000,000 with the Jahre Viking...
Doesn't seem spectacular to me.
