_________________ Frohe Reise, Bearsie. |

It would be kinda coolness, but isn't this more something for the 3dII sim? Or are you only refering to the 2d part? |

Vor alle Dingen müsste man mit Tankern wie der Viking in den Köhlbrand rein weil da die ganzen Raffinerien liegen und etwas weiter vorn bei Waltershof der grosse Containerterminal.(i think the greatest in Europe) see at GoogleEarth
P.S. Nach New York dauerts auch knapp 20 Min. Tankerterminal ist etwas näher
And one would have with tankers like the Viking have to go right into the Koehlbrand Channel because the whole refineries to lie there. And not so far at Waltershof the large Containerterminal.(i think the greatest in Europe) see at GoogleEarth
P.S. To New York its also approximately 20 min. tanker terminals something is closer _________________ Seefahrt ist Not (Gorch Fock)

Okay, both. It actually just occured to me you meant that . Yeah, I think it would be coolness, especially with traffic added. But then again, I think long approach routes could be cool for a lot of harbours, like Rotterdam, sailing through the New Waterway, get a ship through the Panama canal, up the Thames to the London docks, the Westerschelde to Antwerp. I think we can all go on for ages like that.
But I guess all those things take time. Perhaps it could be sped up if there's a way for the community to activly participate in the construction of those features. |

Probably. At least for the part of the community with the skill and time necessary.

Yes, 20 min. sounds about right. Though the tanker and liner berths seem to be somewhat randomized. It's not the same terminal everytime around which is coolness.
I guess if an approach route is too long/take's up to much time, perhaps some sort of time compression could be build in to speed things up on certain stretches. |

I am not intrested to waste time sailing up and down the Elbe, when i am in Hamburg.
But if someone wants to have it, thats okay for me.
My simulation is turned off, anyway.
I want to spend time managing my fleet all over the world.
If the tugs are on strike, my captains will run the ship and take care of that
