everything I invest in Goes Bankrupt......shortly after I invest in them....

Never used the Stock market, it just detracts from a great shipping game and should be a separate game in my opinion,

It does detract but it also is a Revenue Source......I have managed to get lucky a time or 2 and Actually make some money on the Market but 99.9999% of the time I end up losing everythign I've invested...

I usually start with some years in the stock market to boost my equity. I use technical analysis to pick stocks in PoC, as there are no fundamental info in the game. Study the stock chart and view the short or long term movement, and buy and sell stocks simply with viewing the stocks trends. You need a permanent strategy in the market, or else you will loose money in the long term.

I'm visiting the market every day and sell the stock i bought as soon, as the price becomes black. And I holde the stocks only for a short time. One week or so. Mostly I sold the stocks earlier.

But after a short time, most of the firms are bankrupt. I startet a new game 1975. At the end of the year, there are already 2 bankrupt firms an the market.

i noticed something very similar,
also when i noticed that the banks and some
of the shipping companys used to stay a bit longer
in the stock market.
the candidates for the prize "fastest bankrupt company" Wink

were in my game always the isurance companys.
Maybe the on their own need an icsurance against this Laughing

The problem on stock market is, that there is no real sell/buy on the market itself. (From the computer)

If you buy all the stocks of a company, the company simply emits new stocks (a fact, that bring the price down). instead to wait that the price goes up a bit.

I wonder, that there is no option to buy a company or emit own stocks from our own company. (Make more money, gives you the chance to create money simply by sharing your profits)

es wäre vielleicht interessanter anstelle einer Börse, die Möglichkeit zu bieten, Gelder als Festgeld oder Termingeld anzulegen. Bei mir waren 1985 bis auf 4 Firmen alle Pleite. Weiß jett nicht, was in 2000 davon noch da ist.
