Was bewirkt die Zeile
<prozwirksam>xx</prozwirksam>

<schmuggelda>x</schmuggelda>
<schmuggelart>x</schmuggelart>

Und wie wirkt sich die <einkommensteuer> aus?

---------

After building some tankships i need a few moe oel-harbours. Building them i´ve found a few colums in town.xml who make no sense for me.

What means
<prozwirksam>xx</prozwirksam>

whats the difference between
<schmuggelda>x</schmuggelda>
<schmuggelart>x</schmuggelart>

And finally what does the <einkommensteuer> do?

Hi Zootier

Schmuggelda = 0 - 100 % Auftrittswarscheinlichkeit

Schmuggelart = Art des Angebotes (aktuell nur 1-3)

1 = 50 Kisten mit Waffen (500.000 USD)
2 = geheime Waffe (800.000 USD)
3 = kleiner Koffer (20.000 USD)

Also Tanker brauchen doch keine Schmuggelware.. oder gibts flüssiges ?

I don't know much about smuggling, I usuallly set it at Zero.

<anzfracht> cargo supplied (generated) by a port
<prozwirksam> = resident gainfully employed, this affects the amount
of incoming cargo.
<einkommensteuer> = income tax, hasn't bothered me yet but for the US I usually set it at 30% which is the "effective" tax

There are a few more lines in the town and good files that affect
the volume of cargo and its quality

Hope this helps.

OK, Thanks!

Two more questions...

How can i change the number of berths in a harbour and the max. ship lenght exepted by the harbour?

I wonder every self made town with a dock gets a Post-PANAMAX-Dock Question
How can i create a normal size dock?

Last I knew that was done by RDK in a hide away file.
We never did figure out how to get a post panamax dock...
Are you saying all your add on harbors have one?
Usually I run ships well below the panamax level, so the only time
I would notice that would be if I ran a test game with a ghost ship.

On the other hand I'd suspect if you copy your new add on harbor
from one that doesn't have a post panamax dock then the new one shouldn't have one either. It may be one of the letters in the line: <hafentyp> not sure about that.

Hello

The type of dock depends on the line "repda"

0 = no drydock
50 - 100 = normal dock with repaircosts from 50 - 100 %
101 - 105 = dock for ships with more than 32,6m width.

Greetings

Thanks, that was a good hint!

All Docks with "repda" >= 101 are big docks! That means the cheapest possible big dock is repda 101 and the most expensive small dock is repda 100.

That is not true!
You can create a dock with repda 1 !
The cheapest docks in the original game are Amsterdam and Kingston (Canada) with repda 35.

That's correct, but i think repaircosts under 50% are a little bit silly !!

I think it's a bit like fuel costs, and ships price.
If you set it too low at a certain point the computer takes over
and it doesn't get any cheaper.
But I could be wrong

LOL that means I have to go tru a whole bunch of town files now!
Since i didnt know that anything over 100 generates a panamax dock
I did quite a few small harbors at 120 and higher to make repairs there
expensive... not to give them a monster dock LOL Laughing
