Big Update today!

Bearsie has sent me some of his north african and middle east ports to upload.
I have modified them a bit, and added a few more pics.
So here are the ports of Aden, Haifa, Port Sudan, Tripolis and Tunis ready for download.

I have also updated most of my ports and added new custom freights to them.

And i have added my first two cargos, Copra and Tea.
They are needed for the (updated) port of Lae.
Major exporting countries for copra are The Philippines, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Malaysia.
For tea there are China, India, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Turkey, Indonesia, Viet Nam, Japan, Argentina and Iran. You can add the freights to ports in that countries too.

Finally i have added the RoRo/Container Combi ship Saudi Hofuf (200 Trailer, 2.110 Container) build in 1983.

Thats all for today...maybe Wink

Greetings,
Zootier

Thanks for your patience in redoing them a bit Zootier.
I tend to have the cargo rates too high since I set them up for small coasters. Then I forget to lower them again for the folks with big ships.

Thanks again Very Happy

btw: what is the trick to get those darn corners into the picture of the harbi file?

Four new ships today!

The car carrier / roro cargo ship Grande Europa (build 1998 for Grimaldi Lines, 4.650 cars, 243 Trailer, 700 TEU)

Zootier´s Shipyards first full container ship, the 1988 build President Truman (4.340 TEU)

And a (in my opinion) better looking replacement for the Nürnberg Express and for the ugly green original Frankfurt Express. I´ve also changed some data in the xml file to real values.

Hope you like them.
Cheers,
Zootier

Very Happy No, i think two Hapag Lloyd Containerships are still missing Laughing
It was really easy to make most of them, because there are good useable drawings of all active Hapag Lloyd container ships on the HL homepage.

Doing the Nürnberg Express was a bit more work, because she is not longer in the HL Fleet. She sails under MSC managment now.
The only ship i couldn´t find any good pics or information for is the old Hamburg Express, but the original pic of her in the game is not that bad!
Does anybody now what happend to that ship?

Thats a big update, there is no shortage of RoRo's now!

I tend to change the price and daily cost of all the ships as I have made a database and each new ship is added to it and the price depends on how much cargo the ship carries and if it has side thrusters.

The only thing I still struggle with is getting the fuel usage sorted on new ships as I just dont have the time to test Sad

I am not sure why some ships work at 100% consumption with the horse power given and others have to be set as high as 200% to get the real value....
That is a bit odd
It is also one of the hardest things to get a handle on since average fuel consumption is seldom given on the reference sites.

Whoops, i´ve made a mistake! Embarassed

The Ro/Ro ships, that should be able to carry container, were not able to carry container!

Ships with <sub_typ>FERRY</sub_typ> are not able to carry containers! I didnt know that! I´ve changed the value to <sub_typ>CONTAINER</sub_typ> and now it works! The ships can carry container, trailer and cars now!

I have also changed the bunker capacity / fuel consumption of a few ro/ro ships. The operating radius of a few of them was a bit small!

The updates will be online in the next hours! I need to try out a few more things first!

Cheers,
Zootier
