This version contains the new COMPUTER OPPONENT,
some improvements since 0.99.59 on the AI player in expert modus.

The online updater is available.

Also the Differenz updater:
Incremental Download (about 39 MB) - if you already have a recent version of PoC (0.99.0 or higher)

Full installation:
get the Full Download (49 MB) - 0.99.61B (for better Vista support)

the computer oppenent plays different for beginner,e xpert and advanced. In the last though you can choose a homeport, it might wish to override the choosen homepoort, so dont wonder on the message given.

As also messages from the AI player arrrive its best to use a FULLSCREEN modus.

Ah, AI/computer players, that’s good news. It’s been a while since I last updated the game, but this adds a reasonable contribution to the game…

that part really took a lot of time to implement, but now we have reached another milestone in the project.

Hello RD Klein.

Is it possible to put more harbours in this latest update. Will the computer player alsow use this harbours.

and how about new loadings that will bring in the game???

yes if you add harbours, ships and goods, the computer player will also use them, it juist looks at the general lists which result and compare price etc. to make its choice.

rev 0.99.61B is updated for the FULL INSTALLER,
to provide a better support for the new VISTA versions.
This shoudl avod the OIK32 not registered error.

we just test the new addon parts - as soon as this works all together and stable (also a new highscore), I can release it.

first there wil be a new 3d version (with collision in briodges more precise and several enhancements) - as it is using the new xml format also, I program close together with the addon feature of the pocxxl.

its now only a matter of 1-3 weeks if all wents like planed. Sorry that we have a larger delay this time, as we have some fundamental changes in the program I need some test and debug time more than usual - also my todo and buglist is about 95% finished with user wishes and some bug fixes)

to give a better overview whats going on at the moment here my tasktlist:
Not all will be in the next release but many (all in works and dones).

pocsim3dII
- sound settings as option
- detailed model of San Franzisco (we got a nice 3d part whih helps) (in work)
- keep pocsim3dii open when started through pocxxl for speedup
- generator for automatic large town areas (in work test in new york )
- collision for bridges with a new vertical shape (done)
- addon ship and network signatur (done)
- harbour overview map from main scene - new HOTKEY shows current position and destination at any time during the simulation (done)
- locks in all harbours (in work)
- ships with new collsions shapes modelled (done)
- new cranes and details for the harbours (in work)
- harbour name search now with fuzzy names (needed because some different names prevent finding habours like bankkok, ---) might be also used with the user addons in xxl (done)


pocxxl
- sound control for all sounds in poc
- office and freightmarket open problem (in work)
- check all harbour maps (because new) - done
- check for container and cars loading in finseal (in work)
- sand areas for pocxxl (done for 3d)
- new ships should have 100% (bug fixed - there were several inconsitencies)

- paramater change with small colliding with 3dsimii (in work)
- new harbour images from volunteers (done)
