My personal MAJOR pain is the fact that when you purchace a new tanker or liner the condition of the ship is somwhere between 60-70%, it has been like this for ever and really needs to be fixed, when I buy a ULCC tanker for 100million I dont expect to have to pay another 20million to get it up to a decent condition!

Anyone have anything else?

Yes, thats a fact that really gets on my nerves too!
You purchace a brand new ship and what you get is a piece of scrap!

I agree with you, and I have also discovered that, after short time "new" ships drop down about 10%, or more.

I whole heartly agree with the previous messages.
My biggest frustration is when i runI whole heartly a cargo vessel ie: bulker or gen cargo
why do I get a summary with containers?
If I want groceries I do not enquire at a tyre fittment centre!!!!!!!!!
So if a vessel is not cont, or tank or lpg,lng compatible the freight serv dept must only give norm cargo info.
I do not understand that summary which allways includes containers.
Containers should only be available if a cont vessel is loaded.

only new ships have 100% (e.g. when they are in the same year bought as offered, otherwise they fall into preowned, but I will check the function curve to let it fall down a little bit slighter.

currently tons and containers are aquivalent units in the game engine - but I will try to fix this anyway when we have more distinct freight types.

Tankers, Liners and other special ships do not have 100% when new.

Exactly!

Sometimes, brand new ships only have between 60-70%, often between 70 and 80%! And that couldīnt be right!

AFAIK no ships at all are at 100% when delivered (unless, possibly, you set maintenance at maximum when you buy the ship, and keep it there)!

IMO all new ships should be delivered in mint condition, and only then the final payment is due and maintenance costs start running.

Cheers

i also noticed another problem in KARA.
the preowned ships don't need any status.
i think thats not right the stautus needed should decrease
but not fall to zero.

I never realized that, but I suspect where it comes, from -- I will have a bugfix for this it was not intended
(as they are differently sorted they get a preo status which is wrong of course !!)

One thing that annoys me is when playing with an AI the time 'stops' at each event for the Computer fleet as it does with my own. If possible i would love to have a button to turn off these 'blinking ship events' at all, but at least for AI fleets for at a certain point its not possible anymore to play the game because each day takes ages to run... but besides this i love the game - again (after i played it for years on the AMI500^^)
