Version 0.99.68 released

The new version 0.99.68 is available per online update only.

new:
1. user_addon now supports harbour images (harbi files),
they should be placed in the user_addons\harbors directory,

name convention is defined in the xml file for the town:

<bildinfostadtnummer>las_palmas.png</bildinfostadtnummer>

in this case:

las_palmas_harbi0a.jpg is the harbi file for the harbour image. Multiple are possible instead of 0a then write 0b 0c 0d...

las_palmas.png is the map file

an example is provided after update (with a dummy text in it).

You can use the image file to get an exact mask.

2. new harbi images
3. lcode files updated a) Suomi (12) b) Svenska(3)
4. bride increased for the custom events.

known bugs: we still search for a strange bug on some computers, when a ship sinks after this also pocxxl crash. We think its a problem with ATI cards, if you have it , please report here, we work on a patch. As the oik32 is the cause we cannot update this file (no longer supported), but instead have to program around once we find it more precisely.

When you've started the program, you'll get the in window/full screen option. After that the options page with the registration info, and on the following screen there is a button "online update" under the "how long do you want to play" field and just above the standard "back" button. Click that online update button. PoC does a search for the updates that can be done. Select the updates you wish to install and click "download update". Done.

Is there a program available (or a windows command), that will automatically change my file names in a directory from harbiXXXa.jpg to mapXXX_harbi0a.jpg?
When You have a few houndred harbi files, it is tough to change every single filename. And the version above will be the name expected by my xml file.
The simple dos command (old enough to know those) rename does not work that way or produces rather strange results...

I have installed a new version, and updated my game, but now my game is in english, instead of danish, and the game will not show my user addon harbours, anymore. Do any of you know why this has happened.

very strange, the ini files should not be affected, you can select the language in the startup menue, also on startup the question shoudl arise if addons should be loaded. Which version does the dispaly show on start ?

also try

pocxxl recov
from a DOS Prompt to repair any differences.

The user_addon directry is the only directory which can contain your addons, dont modify the original xml, they might be repaired.

When will the manals be rewrited,
so also this is up to date with the new releases.

Because i have some problems with the addons.
I am not clearly what to do next.
Can you give me some advise so i will have no problems in the near futuere with the addons.

Two days ago I have installed a new version, of POC XXL, and then updated it. My game telling me, it is a version 0.99.67 not 0.99.68. and then I try to update, ite tells me, tha it is fully updated. This is something I dont understand. Is it only that has discovered this, or has nay one else seen this? Question

Maybe thats what have cost me, all the problems, whit the harbi files.

That is definitely your problem!
With 0.99.67 the harbi files do not work. You need .68 for harbi support.

pocxxl recov

issue this command from a dos prompt and change the directory to where pocxxl.exe is located
