Hello Comunity,
i am a new member in this forum.
I'm sorry but english is not my best language.
I hope you'll understand me.
First of all: This is a great game. I'm loving it.
I have a problem with the harbor of Anterwepen.
I can't enter with my Tanker inside.
The "Schleuse" (i dont know the engl. expression for this)
is not big enough for the "little" boat. I tried all of them.
Have you an idea or a trick how i can do this.
Thanks.
heiweko

See this topic for an overview of the measurements of the locks. The locks however are only recently added in the 3D version and it is possible the actual size in the game is a bit smaller. Afaik RDK is looking into this.
I haven't tried the tanker in Antwerp myself but according to RDK all ships should fit in the locks. _________________ Freight Containers In The Port Of Antwerp |

Thank you very much for answering.
I also think that the part of the door is the problem.
But the size of le lock "Berendrechtsluis" is only 68m.
The Tanker in the 3D sim. has 70m.
I don't know if that will be working.
We'll wait the update.
Thank you

also I have to take a look, as the tanker is suposed not to enter the lock - this might happen if at the tanker area no fitting berth is found --
dont try to change the definition file (rx2) this alon wont work also also the rx1 file with the line definition is used. -- so I have to change if necessary. |

Maybe a strange reply, but tankers cannot berth outside the locks in antwerp. There are only container berths. Or you have to add some of the tanker berths in "De Schelde" which are currently not in the game. (and also not used by large carriers). _________________ Freight Containers In The Port Of Antwerp |

I've read in the official website of the The Port Of Antwerp that there ist the biggest lock of the world with a length of 500 meters between the gates. As the tanker Golar Spirit has a length of 333 meters only she should fit nicely into that vast basin.
@heiweko
Your topic was titled "Amsterdam", in your text you named "Antwerp". Which port do you mean? |

I didn't notice the topic before. Very nice views (thanks to Google).
But now it is obvious even to me that heiweko was talking about Antwerp and not Amsterdam ("Berendrechtsluis") |
