Hi! (first in german, sorry)

English:

Hi!

I've seen a documentary about the "Kilo Moana" vessel from the "University of Hawaii" on TV.

The special about this ship, is the "SWATH" technologie inveted by a britisch scientist, 70 years ago, which makes the ship more resisting against wave movement.

As I searched for "SWATH" on Wikipedia, I found some links to other ships, using the "SWATH" technology.

IMHO I think that it's possible to construct passenger ships or oil tanker with this art of build. OK, I also think, that they can't as great as "Jahre Viking" or "Queen Elisabeth II" but great enough to make them profitable.

So I think it's possible to let Kara sell ships with this special body type around 2000 or 2010.

Would be glad about your opinion!

Your ship will become top heavy too when you load 13000 TUE on top of such a structure. Remember that a large part of a vessel is submerged.

I think it's not really an update. It's a kind of diffrent constrution type.

I only see a chance for an upgrade, if there's a catamaran type ship,

IMHO normal, single body ships, shouldn't be able to get an upgrade like SWATH technology.

I've found a sample for a SWATH Passengership.

It's called Asia Star (formally RSSC Diamond)

Here's a picture of it: http://picasaweb.google.com/KreinerLeamanworldtrip/WorldTripHongKongAndMacao/photo#5078627610808135282
