Hello,

i wanted to berth with the Liner in Bremerhaven
but the locks are too small. The doors can't be closed after entering the lock.

this image i made by casting off for testing the other way ...

I don't know the length exact of the locks in Bremerhaven.

Have you any solution?

yes - I will also check for qm2 as its longer (it shoudl stay outside),

1. I can change th elock size (I used sat fotos),
2. I can change the max length for the berth inside (also we only had the info from sat).

3. which ship do you use in pocxxl -- I will also change the alg used for selecting the liner (as we have now finlandia, it can be used in the next updates also automatically if you had a smaller liner),
but anyway the program uses always the exact length of the liner assigned in pocsim3dii, so we have to look for the lock problem anyway.

Neue Schleuse eingeweiht

Hello RDK,

i'm using an addon ship "Royal Princess" - 230,6m

But the ship on the screenshot is the original Liner of SIM3DII - 294m

Hello again,

i tried the same thing with the 2D-Simulation.
There I have enough place for two liners in the lock...

Then i made a Test with a 362m Tanker "Berge Enterprise".

Have a look:

Where are the wrong dimensions? 2D or 3D?
In the 2D Simulation the two locks have different dimensions.
In the 3D Simulation they seems to be in the same length.

Here what i found in the Internet:

I used a different length in the 2d sim and also the lock doors are different, - I will adjust the 3d version of course.

This difference is indeed noted before. The lock itself needs more space in 3D than in 2D. The from of the lock is the same size, so less space for a ship inside the locks.
