Hi.. i have a question about the dock´s..

It will be a Perfect game if there was a chance to have your own shipping line mark, same for the ships.. I have 45 different ships in 45 different colors.. why can`t we ourselves choose what color an brand each ship will have?
Like in the real world.. if they build a ship in the shipping line colors and sell it 10 years later to a different shipping company, they want other colors for the ship..
will that be impossible??

That could also solve, the problems, with these shipping company's, that we are not allowed, to create ships from. Some time ago, there was a subject, in the fora, where someone said, that we were not allowed, to create FX. AP. Møller Mærsk ships, but if you can change the color, n the ships, no one can say it is theft. Smile

what about the addon ships there can be downloaded.. theres plenty of ships from maersk line and others..
What i seek is a brand and colors i can use to my Company & my ships..

Great idea.
You start a new game and a new company. One of the first things you do is to paint a model ship in your company colours (hull, superstructures, funnel), and perhaps some letters along the hull. And this pattern will be used for all ships you buy for your company.

Can this be done by the programmers with a reasonable expense?

its simular to a train game I know from the past, where you can design your trains and paint put logos on etc.

the idea to solve it (also for 3d is) to have a basic texture with some kind of black and white detail painting which is fixed, and then add layers with color on it.
So details are preserved and you have a individual paint on them (a layer which then can change if a different user wants a different color at the same time).
for the small icons I can do it with a seperate layer also, as you dont want to change the ship type by painting but your individual ship (or group of ships.
