Wir haben ein paar Parameter verändert:

- Längere Zeit fürs Einfahren im Hafen im Demomodus (600 sec)
- Häfen sind wie bisher nur über Wirtschaftsimulation erreichbar (New York, Sydney und Gythion - sie sind mit Häusern etc. besonders gestaltet). Dazu Schiff kaufen und dann Häfen anfahren (man kann dann auch zurück in den Traingsmodus, der Hfaen bleibt angewählt).
- zwei Spieler (in der Vollversion Cool

können spielen.

fuer Umschaltung auf STEREO STRG-Z verwenden - man braucht dann aber eine rot/cyan Brille. Die Defaulteinstellungen der Vollversion sind jetzt auch freigeschaltet.

we still dont have as distribute wanting to sell our game (negotiation is in work...)

but if you start with the command line option english instead of deutsch (right click the menue entry of poc2000 demo version for example) the english language is used.

I just wanted to know when we can expect the FULL version of POC in english at the market...

yes same problem, as soon as we have a distributor,

but if you want, you can use the german version (get at amazon), and use the updater and then the
commandline option "nglish" (also works there),
only the manual is in german (we must wait till the deal is done).
Also the sema trainer etc is in english already.

The German version can be "transformed" into the English one? Or only one part of the game?

the whole version can be transformed to a english version yes !!

With exception of the manual (pdf), and the setupprogram will give german text !

I did translate already the whole game and its in the german distribution contained. We mainly did this to find foreign distributors., even more we did the version first in english from which it was translated to german (seperate files are there for the localisation)

But is that an officially version or you just made and you're waiting for someone interested in buying it?

I'm asking because I want to know... If I buy know the game [POC 2008] will that be in German or in English?

Maybe my English is not perfect so you'll need to explain me with more details... Wink

its an official version of course, only the option to switch to german is not published yet.

do you have the version or shall I send you one ?

The semaphore trainer (with the 10000 words) is already in dutch so I can enble this also (sema_dutch10k.txt).
you only need to supply a poc2008_a_dutch.txt.
Of course you get into the about menue then.

Ok, I found the English and German file, revision 100, correct?. I see that I’ll have to translate around 800 lines. I can read / compare the English and German file in order to find out what I have to change. This will take me some time, around one week starting from next Monday, but I’ll do it for you…

The installer is only in German. Are you going to change this to multi language? Maybe I can help you with this also…

I’m already in the About menu for Harbor pictures – M.Q.Sprenkels (Novex), maybe put me in twice or something else…

By the way: I tried the demo game 2x. and it looks nice and runs ok. I must of mist that you where working on this.

How must I see this… Is this kind alike a boosted POC classic with much improved graphics and features of XXL? or are you going to change XXL to this?

yes the language files of the latest demo (link here) are the same as the release version after update.

The goal was to have a classic poc in 3d first with some extensions from poc xxl (we defined this last year with the publisher),

currently we don't plan to change pocxxl to 3d as this is really timeconsuming and man power demanding (until we get better funding for man power from either a publisher or ?) and also pocxxl ist good for most not having new 3d graphic cards and want a fast economy game play

But I will to maintenance on both so slowly increasing also the capabilities of the poc 2008 version

I have an english installer, but I must wait a little bit for the feedback of astragon as they still search for a distributor in europe ..., and dont want to come ahead of this. Maybe I can provide an update with multilanguage support (possible with the installer by one click) but I have to check for the strategy on this also.
