Is it possible to get more money (cheat) in Ports of call??

You don't need tricks.
Play in an efficient way and you'll always have enough money.
my opinion about this is:the more Cheat - the less fun!!

It's not a good idea to ask such questions in the forum of the

As CT states it’s almost impossible to bankrupt and you can always loan a lot of money. Although I don’t cheat POC because of this, there is a way to make fast money for those who need it. Some parts of POC XXL are open for alternations, like all xml files. So no cheat codes only file editing…

If you are running a game and you need more cash, but you don’t want to f*ck-up the game play this is what you can do:

Open the ship0.xml
Look up a vessel that is already in play, or perhaps your favorite vessel. Because of the delivery time it’s best to take a low cost ship in the game.
Lower the <preis_max> value
Save ship0.xml
Start POC XXL and load your game
Buy a couple of very cheap cheated vessel

No you can play with vessel you normally could not afford……. or……

Wait until the ships are delivered (otherwise you can’t sell them)
Save game and exit POC XXL
Alter the <preis_max> value, double the normal value or whatever you want
Save ship0.xml
Start POC XXL and load your game
You can sell your cheated vessel for a ‘nice’ price, resulting in a lot of cash!

After this you can set the value back to normal or perhaps replace the ship0.xml for a back-up file. Mind that changes to XML only effect the game if you restart POC XXL. The xml files are only loaded in on start. Please also mind that I do not support cheating, however it’s a forum and we help people in need…

Because of the editable xml files the online high score lists are probably polluted we cheated scores. There is no good way to prevent this.

I can differ between modified and non modified versions of xml files, in the highscore list, havent check for them at the moment only for addons.

There is NO need to cheat...

Even my small coasters make good money, although they have to go via Cape Town (Kapstadt) to do so since they can't afford the 50,000 Dollar (!) canal fee.
