A new pack 3 is in preparation, it will contain

1) New detailed Seattle harbour planed with new cranes

2) Gas Tanker (pocxxl northwest snipe).

3) full version of New York (like in poc 2008 deluxe)

estimated time about > 3 weeks.

Uhm, RDK,

how much of these packs are you planning to make? And will this mean no new ships or harbours will be available in standard updates? What I mean is that if we have to pay 7 euros for a couple of ships or 2 harbours, it will become a very expensive game. I understand you need money to finance the game. I just want to know what we can expect. Very Happy

we will do both, but new ships are very expensiv to make (I need to pay a 3d artist )

of course we will also update harbours in the normal update sequence - goal is to have every harbour in 3d at least with some harbour houses, but currently I cannot finance making more harbours just as a normal update.

I think only special harbours which are also large, might be in a seperate package -- like new york is too large to add it in the standard upload also, and seattle will be a large one also (also a 3d artist will work on this, he traveled to seattle and we can use photos etc. from him also).

The addon pack principle is used by years in programs like FSX (flight simulator) and also in ship simulator (our somehow competitives) - they work now with about 20 artists and we only have 1 to 0 at the moment as all people only had payed ONCE for POC. I hoped we get enough new customers, but the market is saturated !!!! SO we need help from the current customers to continue and make work faster.

OK thanks for the extra info.
Good to hear you're still willing to do updates too.
I know FS and shipsim use add-ons too. And they have a new version of the full game every one or two years which you have to pay for.
You have made a nice game which doesn't cost much and your support is good too. I have to be honest to say I think the 3DII itself isn't as good as ShipSim for example, but that is also cause shipsim was developed as a real simulator and when it didn't sell, it was changed to a game. And indeed a lot of people are working on it. A friend of mine works on it.

I don't mind paying for add-ons and in such a way contribute to the continuation of this project. I meanly wanted to know what we have to expect. Keep up the good work.

I believe the presented prices for the new accessories for POC3DSimII are affordable (don't beat me if I don't speak your language) even if only the second pack fits into my understanding of the "Good Old Times Of Seafaring". Pack 1 of the latest expansion packs was not my taste, I don't fancy soulless box carriers (not even in different sizes) yuck!.

I'm longing for the next pack - tankers (also gas), liners, and freighters of the 60's, and of course ports, ports, and more ports (new ones or revised), and of course - I am willing to pay for it.
