Since the last poll which asked if "the game is too easy?" is still a draw, I thought of putting a new question on the table.

So do you think that the game as it is now is too SIMPLE ?
I mean would you like to see more staff coming, like:
building own ships (subject has been discussed),
or the Manager Modus- Captain Modus
or more marketing and advertising?

or do you think what is now on the game as playing options (and what is definitely coming like the stock market) is sufficient ?

Game is too simple.
and it lacks graphix. Pics of cargo to add depth to the game.
I am a person who likes goodlooking games and I'd like to see
- A office with animations and maby you could buy furniture
and electronics like fax, computer, internet connection, phone,
cellphone
- a view to see the cargo hull of a ship that is loaded and pics of
warehouse at a dock full with frieght deals.

in the game.
maby it's just me...

I agree that the game must be more attractive to the eye but I believe that this is secondary, we should first concentrate in the content of the game i.e. the game options

we have to concentrate on the game play first then on the design, we also have the 2d sim on the schedule next also for design issue (use sat image etc.)

If the sim3d is fully integrated into xxl it probably looks better than a lot of those "heartless economic games" that some of the people throw out on the market.

Nevertheless this is just beta so there is plenty time for graphic gimmics.

Most of you dont understand that this game is made by only a few people who dont have a million budget, if the had they could hire a 40 man team like they have at Codemasters. I takes time to create something wich is dedicated to a special buiz, not like that fucking capitalism or industry giant. Better create a game that is specialized into one genre instead of a dozen wich only has a little of everything. Time learns that evantually all people who like that specified genre will try out your one-genre-managment game and the results will be amazing. Everyone in the shipping-buiz has heard of the old Ports of Call.

And Hype you say "almost everything in the game lacks in design" why dont you help Rdklein to make it better if you say it lacks in design ? Most of us are spending their free time to create a succesful managment simulation of this code. You only dissapoint the creators with this sentence better you post some details down of what is missing, what could be better.

just my 2 cents. Crying or Very sad

Although you have to admit that "capitalism" is really good from the economic point of few.... as far as i know it is even used when you study economics, because of its realism.....(i think we are getting off topic Very Happy )

OK dudes.

I didn't mean that the game is BAD.
What I ment was that I have ideas for the game.
I allways liked games that give the option of personalizing.(like your own office.) Sims is best in personalizing.

I allso know about limited resourses. It's a bitch but for the game to be succesful in markets it need a beatiful graphics.

RDKleins dudes done a great job on graphics of the 3d sim and the ship broker. The core of the game and its idea are great and with the help of members of this forum game will be the best business sim in the world.

GREAT WORK.
I hope our ideas are been but to use.

we really want to implement as much ideas as possible, so I like all the nice little things to add like personalizing the office etc, I think as soon as we have the big stuff over like now the 2d sim replacement with the new engine (looks very promising already), and then the 3d engine (which is done in parallel), we have time again to do more in the other fields.

An we will make tools which helps others helping us like the harbour editor for pocsim3d.

Only a little detail. Why you start the game with 5 Mill. Dollars ???
Why not you can start with 0 Dollars and before you go to KARA you must go to a bank and ask for a little credit ?

I think this is more like real life, because when I have 5 Mill. Dollars I will do anythink but not buy a cargoship...maybe a little yacht...

It will be a little bit more difficult to make so much money.
