We are sitting in Norway and Germany, and had a small idea of competing in Poc, but as I understand that kind of network-playing isn't really easy available. If U could tell us an good solution to our challenge we would be really happy.

it will work in a while, when we have the tunnelling program ready, then each of you starts a small problem enters the IP of the other side and it connectes the games, but I think we are about 4-6 weeks from this at least. |

A couple of friends of mine made a VPN-tunnel. As I remember, it worked OK. Maybe somthing to try while we wait for the admiral's own tunnel software.

What is the status on this now?
Is there a place to find others that want to try playing POC online? I am not very computer saavy, so I am not sure how to do this. Are there some online networking instructions somewhere??
All the best

we currently test the new pocsim3d II with network players, then we will build a tunnel program which is for xxl and the new sim3d (where the data rate is an issue). |

for the new pocsim3d you can play in multiplayer modus, giving each station a netid (max 4 currently), then if in the same harboour you can see each other,
for competiition we have some nice racing scenes also where you can take the best time (like reefs). Nice to play with the Ecranoplan. |

When do you think this is a alternative to use?
And do you need adsl to use this, or what is minimum speed? |

for the tunnel program, we think to start testing this about december. But I have no idea about speed at the moment,
foir the pocsim3dII we have 25 data packets per second to transfer (1k size). |

Yes RDK, you're the admiral |
you can use a program called Hamachi for VPN tunneling, it's easy to use and it's free. |

I have the hamachi network, and found the computer I want to play against.
How do we start the game now? |
