Hi,
The object of this thread was not to discus the ability to get a ship into the port, bows first or stern first, the final conclusion at berthing was the point in question, when receiving the message "You are in your Berth" "Stop your Engine" and the session continues without the normal ending, and can only be concluded by pressing the escape key, thus when used in the playing of ports of call, you are required to pay tug fees anyway. I trust this will clarify the situation i am describing _________________ Anthony the Sea Addict |

in all three cases the procedure ended normal. no pressing of esc-key necessary, no tug fees to be paid..

As said there was a problem in the current problem, because the berth area was very tight aroung some ships, eg, the real position is within the indication marks. but strange is that the text "Stop your engines " appears in the problem case, as this shows that the place is found, so please check again for the next update which needs some days (its a very huge update with lots of changes).
I will check for the end condition also to be sure.
But the end conditio comes only when the next "congratulation ..." appears. |

hi,
i´ve noticed the same in ny with the hovercraft.
the problem here is that the propellors are still rotating and the vehicle is
moving a minimum speed which isn't shown in the scale for speed
and press end doesn't use anything because im playing with a gamepad
and the keyboard is disabled.

is more realistic.

i lay in point hope with a tanker
no speed or any movement for 5 min. but no end of the game
i have version r1:18 ( what is reading in the window) do i need a update?
btw the tanker has 2 chimneys standing a few meters from each other but the smoke come from the middle of them.
p.s. i play on a laptop what works perfectly for about 99% only if the ship move fast then my screen have a little trobble with it. |

If you play with a Controler just press the (1) Button this will end the Sequence. Or have you do this?? _________________ Seefahrt ist Not (Gorch Fock) |

hi,
interesting..
do you play with the autozero or the normal ship steering?
i only noticed the problem with stop the engines when i tried to
berth the hovercraft in NY. All other ships worked fine on my computer.

Hi rene pro,
rdklein wrote: | we have a small snap tollerance to avoid this |
did you notice that?
the best is to stop the engine.
(in the scale over the controls must stand zero)
sometimes there is the problem that you are without noticing it drive to
far and then it doesn't work.
according to the manual you can also press the key "END" to set the
speed to zero, if you play with the keyboard.
(at me it didn't work because i play with a gamepad so i don't know if it
works)
Please check out all the things i wrote.
I hope this can help you.
Good Luck,
