What would be way more awesome, is when it's integrated in PoCXXL, and you have the ability to hub your cargo.
For instance, you load 500 TUE in China, to be delivered in a dutch inland harbour. You sail from China to Rotterdam with the Emma Maersk, and use Rotterdam as a hub to transfer the load into a couple of smaller vessels to move the cargo to the final destination.
RDK, Will this be possible????? Please?????? _________________ Freight Containers In The Port Of Antwerp |

I better get cooking then and build a Humber Keel and a Thames barge.
can't just have big ships on these canals !
high tech of course, with a beer cooler and a gas powered stainless steel grill on the aft deck ....
maybe even a horse in the foc'sle for propulsion if the wind dies down _________________ Frohe Reise, Bearsie. |

Sorry if I've missed it somewhere but is this just going to be for inland barges or small short-sea ships / coasters as well? Its just that on the map shown, there are only coastal ports like Rotterdam etc and the rest are all inland?
If it is to include coasters I'd like to have limitations put on ports such as Duisburg that ships over a certain air-draught cannot gain access and such like, so that the biggest ship, it not always the best ship. |

Makes perfect sense ! One would hope that it includes river sea ships ...
What are the dimensions of the current river sea ships anyways? 5 meter air draft and 3 meter draft?
Eureka, found it !!!
here is a list of various waterway dimensions on page 5 :
http://www.vesitiet.org/2004/Zigic%20RSS-Hels.pdf
Cologne is good for 9 meter airdraft and 2.5 meter draft _________________ Frohe Reise, Bearsie. |
