Hi Zootier,

A request? Do you know if anyone has done the "Queen Victoria"? She looks like a great and ultra modern ship Wink not to mention uber expensive, hehe.

Hi Zootier, I have downloaded your port Diego Garcia, but I can't get the map , to show on the screen, no matter how hard i have tried. I only get a blank screen, where the map should have been. What can be wrong with this.

Hello Zootier,

You have an email with plenty of pictures. I hope you can find some adequate ones.

@ANR,
I downloaded the file and put all the files in the user addon folder, and all are ok. I also checked the file too, and the only thing changed was the continent.
Are you sure that the file "Diego_Garcia.png" is in your folder? I have started a new game, and had as my home Port Diego Garcia. The png (map file) worked fine Smile very nice if I must say myself, since I had some time to come to that port Smile Rolling Eyes

you may want to check that there is an underscore between Diego and Garcia (Diego_Garcia.png).

That is the only thing I can think of.

Update time!

"Der Seewolfs" has done the Capesize Bulkers Aliki, Raiju and Bulk Europe,

aries1470 has done the Ports of Timaru (New Zealand) und Betio (Kiribati),

I have done the new Cunard cruise ship Queen Victoria (2.014 passengers, build 2007),
my Redrawn Version of the original liner Canberra (2.238 passengers, build 1961),
the VLCC Tanker Berge Duke (284.002 dwt, build 1973),
and Top Views for the ULCC Tanker Sea Giant
and for the Containerships Ming Ocean, New Orleans Express and Savannah Express.

And i have completed the redesign of my website, all sites are in the new design now.
I have solved the problem with the wrong margins coming up when using the Mozilla Firefox browser too.

Finally i have bought a real .de domain for my site.
Please use my new adress www.pocshipyard.de . The old de.vu adress will be terminated in near future.
I hope this will raise the availibility of my website!

Thats it,

Cheers,
Zootier

PS: There will be no update next week, because i am in vacation. One week relaxing in Denmark.

PPS: I will upload the rest of all the mods you guys have send me in two weeks. Today there was no more time left. I need to go to bed now ... urgently Wink

Gents,

the coordinates for Timaru should read 443 and 1712. The location in Aries1470's file is closer to where the small fishing port of Kaikoura is located.

regards,

Hello Fruju,

The information I got was from the Officials port website.
Here is the link WITH the co-ordinates directly Wink
Website:
http://www.primeport.co.nz/
From there, click on the link that is for the 2007 Annual Report
Then, click on the PDF named Chairman and Chief Executive's review
then on the second page with the map, on the bottom, you can see what it has Wink i have converted them to decimal. So if that is correct, then the port authority does not know its own location, and I would apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Thank you.

Thats Ok. I grew up in Timaru. I only noticed it when I was playing and it appeared well north of where it is. Timaru is located at the southern end of the Canterbury Bight about 2 hours drive south of Christchurch (Port of Lyttleton). I have the majority of the New Zealand ports done. If any one would like them just let me know and I'll send them to some one that can post them online or I'll just drop the xml files into the forum and let everyone else find the pics.

Regards,

However, one has to realize that not all locations match properly on the visual game map.
So, one has a choice, perfect co-ordinates or proper looking location.
Choices, choices.... Confused Wink

Hi Fruju,

Well, you may be correct, I have not tried the co-ordinates from google earth with this port, since I found it as I have mentioned in the ports own documents, you would think that they would know where they are... Rolling Eyes

As far as your ports for N.Z., it would be a great idea to create a new thread and post the XML files there, and also send a pm message to Zootier and organise with him to send to him your ports with the images so they can be made available to everyone Very Happy

Yes, how very true, especially for my Betio - Kiribati port. It was not near any of the islands and had checked and rechecked... hehe. I hope I don't encounter it again with any of my other ports... of which reminds me... I have to post the port of Dili - East Timor in my thread.

Mackey & Hay Point are a bit special!
As i wrote befor i had problems with that harbour.
The entire coast of Queensland is blocked for ships larger than Panamax by the Grand Barrier Reef. This is quite unrealistic. To open this area for big bulkcarriers too i have done replacements for the files map4mask.png and map5mask.png located in the folder \poc\pocxxl\images. With this modified files you can reach Queensland with big ships too.

Hallo zusammen,

Zootier
