What can I do with provocative sailing boat skippers?
I was about to leave port with my huge container vessel when 2 small sailing boats crossed my way in the narrow fairway. I stopped my vessel in time and waited for the boats to pass. But they did not. They hooted five times, stroke their sails and dropped anchor just ahead of my bow. My vessel is blocked. ' '
It happend in the port of Brisbane (as substitute for Kristiansand).
Someone should teach the AI to respect big ships and give way ... |

Afaik the AI vessels sail a predetermined pattern with a constant speed. Never seen them really stopped somewhere in nowhere. _________________ Freight Containers In The Port Of Antwerp |

If you drive backwards a little bit then they usually pass. |

Ya, the ferries are quite a pain in the a.., they'd rather hit your ship than give way. But sailing boats are quite often stopped with sails down. But I don't expect them to do this right in front of my vessel.

I cannot try that anymore, the game is gone. Unfortunately there is no way to save a current 3D-game. I had to ESC and pay the fine. |
