not sure if this is the right place to ask.

but, could you help me? i know certain ships have rail tracks, for transporting trains.. but where in the xml file do i have to add it?
for example, the Stena Jutlandica, is a RO/PAX ferry, with onboard rail tracks, but how can i make it possible to have the ship capapble of transporting locomotives?

@ Leftback

Thats not possible!
The cargo Lokomotives is designed as Heavy Lift Cargo and not as Roll on / Roll off cargo.

There is no option to transport trains in the game!

I made the cargo Locomotive at the time, it was only designed as a Heavy Lift Cargo. Like Cornemo says, there is no way to haul trains on ferries...

RDK would need to code the rail option into the xml file for the ships i.e. rail capable yes or no. Then this option would be able to be enabled for those ships that with that capability. Until then you could create the rolling stock as a user made goods (based on the trailer) the weight would be greater but the rest would be similar and then you would just need to judicious in the use of that freight. i.e. not put it on RO/RO ships that don't have a rail capability.

I find there are a lot of goods that you need to do this for e.g. how many container vessels carry "ore" and the ULCC and VLCC carriers are crude carriers but to make a quick buck how many players also use them incorrectly as product tankers?

I think this is on the todo list of RDK,
its already mentioned before also that you can not go with a big ship into a small port.
Example the Berge Sthal can not go to Amsterdam, because its to big for passing the locks at Ymuiden.

When this is in the came it would be more realistic.
Also the option to put liners into the came.

I hope RDK will make this wth the next releases.

Rgrds,
Arie Zwart.

hi zootier,
it is a problem for you if you upload your ship-accmulation? because i had start the game at first time for approx. 4 weeks and there updated too much ship's. you do a good job on your webside but is too hart to download each file seperate. i'd tried without success. it's confusing! Confused

maybe you could upload your shipfolder at rapidshare and send me the link via mail or you published the link.

it would be nice if procurable!
