|
|
When I start a game with 1 human and 2 computer players (maybe other combinations too, did not try), after 2 hours the background images and port plans stop being loaded, and the game crashes soon after.
This is new to this version of POC XXL: 1.0.2 built 7.7.2008 |

Yes, it worked fine last time (admittedly, a few months ago).
OS: windows 2000
Graphic card: ATI all-in-wonder 7200
Processor: AMD Athlon 1800+
Latest Flash (I hate nags for upgrades... so I cave in immediately) |

which service pack on windows 2000 is installed ? And how much main memory?
as we had to switch from NT to XP as developmentsystem for pocxxl, it might be necessary to use the current service pack for Windows 2000 to be fully compatible with the runtimes. I assume SP4 is the most current. As windows 2000 is no longer supported for developers (MSDN) its hard to check out.
Can you do some tests :
1. switch to autosave daily, so we can get a saved game before the crash
2. try to load the autosaved game and continue -- does the game crash after another 2 hours or immediatly. |

SP4 is the latest, which I have.
The latest save does not crash if reloaded. Wierd. I could send a copy for your perusal (the option to attach files is not enabled on this forum). |
