Self-explanatory --- Berth not accessible because ship has no thrusters.

There's such a berth in Alexandria, too.
I'll try to do a screenshot and post it here.
Greets,

without trhusters you can try to use colliding with a very low speed, this will turn the ship ! |

Herr Klein,
Im Expert Modus gibts für leichte Kollisionen aber auch Abzug in der B-Note
Des Rätsels Lösung ist das nicht.
Gruß,

As long as we cannot use fenders it seems not very lifelike to me. You can also use anchor or spring to moor the vessel without damage - but that would be very difficult to integrate in the game, I believe.
There is a topic already showing strange berth situations in ports. I just wanted to hint that there are more ports with similar fatal berth offers.
And btw (Christian is right), I also don't want to loose status points and/or money by touching the quay wall with my unprotected ship's bow. |

I think these problems can be easily solved by making the maximum possible berth length a bit smaller, so also ships without trusters can be berthed in such places (although it will take some back and forth movements). _________________ Freight Containers In The Port Of Antwerp |

yes you are right but I have an idea which can solve it quickly
For the future I plan to redo the berth mechanism in providing a total length for the berth, then the program assigns automatically parts for the ships until used up, I can then easy provide some extra space which depens on the ship type.
The last I can also try to solve the problem for the next update. I will add some perctage to the ship length before searching for a berth that fits ! |
