It is a pity that there is so less reaction for you building.
Maybe there aren't that much people playing the 2d-sim!
Keep up the good work.

Thanks a lot!
You are right, it is a bit demotivating, that there is nearly no reaction on my work.
But as i can see in the number of downloads and the number of visits on my hompage there is a high interest in my mods, and that worldwide. But it seems like that nobody wants to tell it
I have a lot of fun building the mods, and as long as i can see that a few people like them too, i will continue to upload them on my homepage. _________________ Visit http://www.pocshipyard.de for free ships and harbours |

To Zootier, and others. I would like to comment on the hard work of doing with, to create new ships. I have downloaded almost everything that I could find who has cared for my game and I would like to have more ships. Especially I would like a little more ships from the 1980's and 1990's. So in short, continue the good work. _________________ Poc is a lifestyle |

I've complimented you and other builders before. Currently I don't play PoC that often anymore, and also don't use user add-ons. This cause all the ships, ports and goods are very hard to manage. If you've about 1000 available ships it's very hard to select the best one and you end up using the same couple over and over again.
Using goods and ports is even more difficult cause you have to do the port-good interaction by hand for all downloaded ports/goods.
This is in no way a complaint toward the builders. They are doing a nice job, but the implementation in the game is difficult.
I think RDK could even earn some money if he had a website where one could download user add-ons and the site auto-creates/updates all needed files. _________________ Freight Containers In The Port Of Antwerp |

Yesterday i have uploaded the next update!
"Der Seewolf" has done new sideviews and xml for the Super-Post-Panamax-Containership COSCO Asia and reworked xml for his Panamax Tanker Sibotura und Sibonina.
I have done the brand new Super-Post-Panamax-Containership MSC Beatrice (14.028 TEU, build 2009).
Than i have reworked the 2D Port of Port Chalmers. The stupid berth in the middle of the Ocean is gone (was a bug) and I have combined the two Cargo Berthes, so you can berth with ships up to 412 m now. Than i have reduced the sailing boat traffic a bit and changed the starting- / endpoints for your ship.
And i have done the 2D Port of Lae (Papua New Guinea). Its a smaler port with smaler berth (270 m max.) so you can get problems with bigger ships.
In my first version i had done a large "Cargo Gearless" berth in the Ocean for bigger ships, but that results in a new problem.
In PoC all ships use the biggest available "cargo gearless" berth if there is no matching berth for that type of vessel. But Lae only has 2 small tanker berths and 3 gearless cargo berths up to 270 m in lenght. So all ships exept cargo ships and small tankers were berth outside in the ocean. And that was not what i wanted to have. So i have cancelled the big berth in the ocean and now all other ships will use the 270 m cargo gearless berth. So its possible that you are not able to berth a bigger ship because your berth is blocked partially by an other ship, and you have to give up.
Thats it for this week, i think next week there will come a really big asian port.
Greetings,

Hallo Andreas,

is it possible to create Frederikshavn - Denmark?
it is one of the worlds busiest ferry harbours, and would be really great to have in POC |

Frederikshavn exists. It is in my collection and I have downloaded it a long time ago from one of the sites of the user-addon-builders (I don't know where). Have you visited all pages ?
If you cannot find it give me your email ads and I send it to you.

Before i create any new harbours i want to build all 2D ports of my existing harbours. That is really much work to do, because i need several hours of work for one port.
So i dont think that i will create any completely new harbours in near future.
@FrancisBrake

Why not wait for the builder that RDK promised (although it was said to be out last week), it should make port building quicker. _________________ Cheers

if I can use autocad or some other cad program then it will be a lot easier for me as thats what I was trained on at college. _________________ Cheers

can you export ai files or use a converter then it will work.
(dxf to ai for example),
only for our editor to work you have to use the exact color codes. |

If there is an instruction manual with it then I am sure I can get the hang of it. _________________ Cheers
