Newspaper and larger exit areas for 2D sim

Played PoC XXL for almost a week now and I like it a lot! I remembered a friend of mine showing me the DOS version over ten years ago and thought I'd check out how the game has deveoped since then.

I have two feature suggestions though:

It would be great if the exit arrow areas in 2D Sim mode (e.g. when exiting a port or navigating a reef manually) would be bigger. It happens so often that I have to turn around or go backwards to navigate my ships exactly over the arrow to clear the area, even though the ship cleared all obstacles and could continue to the open sea.

Also I would really like a console window, news ticker or newspaper that displays daily news like important stock market information and also war zones, areas with frequent pirate attacks, etc.

Personally I like the small exit arrow. As ship has to sail a specific path in reality too.
The arrow sometimes points in a very strange direction though. That could be better/more logical.

I like the small exit arrow, too. Therefore a change is not necessary according to my opinion.

Great idea; a newspaper to tell you about war zones, piracy attacks and stock market info! You still run the risk to be the first to be attacked, but at least you can avoid certain routes or buy a piracy shield on these routes.

The size of the arrow "ist mir egal".
