Important notice:
Dont use any trademarks for user addon ships or brand names without an explizit permission.
For example AIDA did forbid to use any of their ships in the game POC after we made a request to add some ships for the pocsim3dII - they might be worried about accidents which can happen in the game like pirates etc....
Achtung
------------------
we got approved permission to use QUeen Marry2 instead - bei Queen Marry 2 haben wir die Erlaubniss erhalten und auch einen Magazinbeitrag in Cunard bekommen. |

It really is a shame that companies don't want this free advertising.
I know you can't use Maersk Line either. The guys from ShipSim have tried that and it was explicitely forbidden by the Danish company.
But why do you ask this RDK? Has this something to do with a long awaited future that we'll be able to add our own ships in a seperate directory and even through an PoCaddition.com webpage? _________________ Freight Containers In The Port Of Antwerp |

yes the pocsim3dii now has dynamic addons for ships and will use the same xml file as pocxxl (which will be chnaged in the next release), so this prepares for the user addon also with pocsim3dii.
-
we have ask for the Aida as its much easier to get more detailed plans from owner than just doing fantasy ships, and they have with AIDAcara a nice small ship and I had a Revell model which also might have helped.
--
by the way about some years ago we got also the negativ answer from Maersk - first they were worried about sinking ships, but the major reason is that there is a global company decision not to be present in ANY GAME !. the request was at that time to get fotos of ships.
--
on the other way round we got details ship plans for BBC CHarter (which is in the about also listed in pocxxl) they helped us really a lot.

Well I think it's easier to get info from smaller companies than from bigger ones.
About the changing XML files: Will it be a lot of work to translate the old ones into the new ones? Cause everybody now has to rebuild his own ships to make them work with the new version. Maybe you can write a little guideline for this? _________________ Freight Containers In The Port Of Antwerp |

It would be difficult, also the old format is readable by the new version (the new parameters are set to default), maybe also I write them back automatically |

yes I know,
we currently work on this .
But on the other side, more important for us is to get a sponsor,
and if we go to implement a ship from now on we want to charge the company for this (we haven't done so before),
maybe this is a better strategie.
Otherwise we will add more "fantasy" ships. |

|
|

Der Fehler lag bei der tv_w32.dll. Also es läuft alles.
Bis auf 2 Schiffe. Aber verkauft und neu und alles Bestens.
hatte gerade Kontakt mit teddybaer23 |

Hi zusammen!
Bei dem Thema ist mir was eingefallen! (Einfrieren)
