hi,
i have recently discovered pocxxl (seen old poc on friend's amiga in highschool, later playing some poc classic on my pc (yes, quilty ))
i'm soon to be 33, finished faculty of economics, working in a midsize company, just been prometed to head of commerce department.
as soon as i discovered poc xxl i get gold license (must get new pc and switch to platinum asap)
thanks to new 256k link i was able to join pocxxl community and i hope that we all together will be able to contribute in making the best game ever made for pc.
hoping to get some more maritame experiance (eager to learn sailing and get my own sail someday)
should be enough for the firs post.
regards to all poc players and developers. _________________ harisson |

I am a 43 old, young actually, guy. I used to play POC long time ago on my friend's Amiga computer. In these days I had an Apple II, great computer though, but no POC.
I am a happy platinum POC owner and looking forward to RDK's great
work. |

Hi there!
I am Michalis, a 27 year-old Greek living currently in Vienna, Austria.
I am a PhD student in Coastal Landscape Ecology (so I will be supporting loosing more that 5 status points when your 30 year-old tanker sinks!)
I have also played POC Classic back at the amiga of a friend but back then I had no idea if he had bought it or not. Now I am a Gold Licence holder and that's only because my PC can't play POC Sim 3D!
I hope we get more Greeks in the forum and hopefully someone who translates the game in Greek too! by the way: Geia sou Pano! |

Geia sou bre Michali,
I think we are the only Greeks who post in this forum.
Regarding the translation part I am willing to cooperate with you.
Anyway welcome to the Forum...
Tha ta xanapoume.... _________________ Best Regards,

this would be great, if you can send a sample text, because of the font I will try what happens - we can test it here on a greece windows system also. |

hello RDK
i'm working currently on translation to croatian, first version should be ready for next release (hope so), and i also have problems with special signs in our language. on some screens they are normally visible and on some i get wild things (i believe this is problem with different fonts used).
anyway, i will check file in next couple of days, correct wrong spelling and try to find some synonims for difficult words.
to whom should i sent the file then?

yes wonderful, send them driectly to poc@rdklein.de
for the fonts, send a screen dump how the fonts should look like, so I can compare, best is a small sentence just for test als image and as plain text. we will build the support into the game then. |
