we can try to get one hotel and a package discount price with some options maybe. We did this with other group meetings in the past and thats very optimized, further we can try to sync it with some general holiday parts for example. |
Perhaps you could also try to time it so that you can announce that you released POC XXL 1.0 at the same time? _________________ Bring on the Great Lakes!

There are many good suggestions and especially the ones from Mr. Klein
are very good.
Rotterdam would actually be a nice location for a POC meeting and
2 - 4 months are needed to plan this event.
I think that there should be soon discussed some weekends when
people are able to take a ride to Rotterdam or another location. |

Rotterdam sure work with me, Amsterdam same. Problem would be time, late July would work fine - then I should be back from the Cape. No further plans at that time, so anything you say is fine. Go ahead, this should easily become a meeting to remember... |

Since we have a rough sketch of everything......
Where should it be ??
We should know where the people come from...
for example it makes no sense if 19 people come from germany and one from the netherlands to make the meeting in the netherlands.....(no offense to our friends from the netherlands )
Maybe we should have a "geographical list" of where the people come from..... _________________ Die Welt die wir geschaffen haben ist das Resulat einer überholten Denkweise

I would prefer port of rotterdam as a place at the moment, because of the environment and big ship place ... (we can try to get a view onto the container harbour or so) - as a center of our users (as we have also some from england which is close and france, spain italy (maybe some come also from there)- ofr australia , new zealand its all about the same distance (we really dont have many users there) |

Same here. Living in the US, I'd love to come but cannot afford the transportation. Anyone think my 5 meter long motorboat could get me there? (HA HA ) _________________ Bring on the Great Lakes!

sure no problem take 5000 gallons of gasoline and start traveling about now...you should be there in aproximatly 2-5 month.....also you'd be the first one to cross the atlantic in a five meter boat (and don't get hit by a tanker at night...) _________________ Die Welt die wir geschaffen haben ist das Resulat einer überholten Denkweise

Hi peeps,
As some people can't get to the meeting to see each other in person, maybe a thread could be started by the management so that people can post pictures of themselves, or perhaps links to their webcams.
I would love to see a webcam in the POC development offices!!

As many people come from Norway, and many form Germany/Benelux area too, it seems like Denmark wold be a good choice... (at least for me ) ALso, there are quite a lot danish people here... _________________ Oilspill for the people!! |

Hey,
If this meeting is in the netherlands it would be great if it's in Amsterdam or port of Rotterdam.
I think I'll come with Motorsmurf.
The idea of an geografic list is also a fine idea to see where everybody come from. Easier to decide where the meeting will be.
