Judging by the respone thus far it appears that interest is limited, Distance, flights, holidays etc etc.....However If it was made to be an online VIRTUAL conference like a marathon chatroom for the whole weekend or somthing along that line, then maybe the response would be better????

Still not many progress
I agree with popeye it should be nice to have some chatroom where you can just talk to eachother, discuss some things and so on.
At least we can write pretty fast with a chat room _________________ Ragnar |

What is the status? I moved from The Netherlands to Denmark, to get rid of those long journeys to my girlfriend. So I would prefer a meeting in Denmark, as Exxon Valdez said in an earlier message. Der er jo mange danskere der spiller (Excusez le mot, that was Danish).
Are we still making plans for a meeting? Or will it be a meeting in NEXT summer? I have a job to take care of, so I'd appreciate it when a PoC-meeting is in this neighbourhood (I live in Western Denmark)

If the meeting is in Rotterdam, I will surely come.
May be it's an idea to add something to the newest update; after updating the game and starting it for the first time a window will pop up, informing all players about the meeting.
Of course time and date have to be set by then. I think there are many players who will like the idea, but do not often visit the forum.
Next year would be a good idea I think.
Keep up the good work!
By the way; when is POC XXL planned to be finished?

Just an idee ,
why not meet in small groups at first, i mean by that, for example, people from the north of Belgium and south of the Netherlands could meet at some place and discuss about the game and so on, the same in the other regions. then when the BIG MEETING would occur the different groups would meet eachother. It would be then easier for some to go to the meeting, as the small groups could arrange the trip.
Just an idee,

I regret that I bypassed this thread so far, but about my critics on that what topics should be discussed about? Or is this just rowing a boat on a river so?

we already have this forum which is excellent for all topics even non Poc related , so add a live chat line and see how it runs , but still consider a meeting some time in the nice summer weather . I'll even travel to Germany or somewhere central for maximum attendance possibility .

I agree with popeye, for the internet a nice thing to establish the first contact, but I feel it would be great if got familiar personnaly. An offline meeting has the big advantage to associate a face with a nickname. Altough having objections regarding the content, I do look forward for this event

That is the reason why I mentionned above to try to meet each other in small groups of the same region at first, then eventually visit other groups of other regions to end with a Big meeting.

Well, I am not really sure on this. I feel, that only those hardcore player who also are active around really want to come.
BTW, why can not the preparation party synchronise their work with the Phorum?

Hi Canceldiet,
You're maybe right, but I still think that it's worth trying.
I saw an offer of Ragnar to visit a ship, and I think that I will do it (if my work allows it ), so the first contact with Ragnar will be done, and maybe other players will come too (i mean from our region, Flanders and the Netherlands).
The other reason is that if the meeting is for example in Germany, then there is the possibility to do "car pooling" (I can take up to 6 persons with my car), so the travel can be cheaper for everyone.
