I have a question to developer
could you in a future improvement of manoeuvring screen 'steer by hand' during entering /leaving a port or passaging a straight to add some traffic (other vessels moor/unmooring, steering through channels) , wind effect ?
I suppose in 2d game it would be more interesting and realistic as avoid at present some cutters or ferries in a port |

indeed there is a traffic in some of the harbours, a polyline is used for this purpose. either for ferries or for standard ships. |

Thank you RDK for instant response,
I know that function of game as in some harbours occurs
I actualy have imagined a future modification on this screen as described:
Leaving a port
-Effect like blowing wind towards the quay or tidal stream make the unmmoring job more difficult and interesting (after ropes realease)
-steering to outer harbour (prob.pilot station- blue arrow) incoming vessels or (adjustable??) ports traffic (yachts, crossing ferries) would increase the motivation to use the ''steer by hand option" and offer more reality handling to situation.
Arrival aroad
-should the ship wait for a specific time(anchor,lay-up) due to busy, traffic or after the berthing(blue arrow) would be available and clear of draft clearance (shipmax_draft vs alongside pier allowable draft) ?
I am sure that you will improve on to next update some functions on the game

that is terrific -thanks a lot
Could you please inform if the movement of any ship (during maneuvering) is determined by some parameter(s) in ship.xml file?
Mostly thought on <traegheit> or <sndoffset> details
Best regards
